K-HAND aka Kelli Hand has been around for quiet a while. During the 1980s she used to travel from her hometown Detroit to New York to visit the infamous Paradise Garage. Inspired by Larry Levan spinning there and by Detroit DJ Ken Collier she got into the game and started producing records for her own in the early 1990s.
The Queen of Detroit Techno is one of the few women from the D who really made it internationally, with a variety of record releases on Labels of like: Tresor, Warp, !K7, and Third Ear to name a few, and recently out soon on Dockside Records.
Her own imprint Acacia Records Worldwide is also still releasing vinyl, and has seen a reissue of long-out-of-print house-classic „Project 5 EP“ just in September 2014, and out soon in October 2014 „Everybody / You Give Me EP“.
As a DJ, she did sets way deep before deep was cool.
We are excited to welcome K-HAND for the first time in Vienna!
